Thanks to fellow blogger Stephy@Stephysweetbakes, I am nominated for “Post A Quote Challenge”. So I am posting one of my favorite quotes about food:
“Food, in the end, in our own tradition, is something holy. It’s not about nutrients and calories. It’s about sharing. It’s about honesty. It’s about identity.”
By Louise Fresco
I like this quote because it touches the very essence of food: food is not just something that sustains our lives and well-beings, but something through which we can communicate with, give to, and learn from the world, something from which we never have any reason to hide our feelings, something towards which we are entitled and empowered to devote our passion and efforts, and something with which we can show what we truly value.
And for this reason, we have our very dynamic and diverse food blog community. Every day, I appreciate and cherish the creative recipes and reflections from the community — unique, original works that are meant to help and inspire others. The food blog community is a wonderful testament to the truthfulness of the above quote.
I hope to continue to enjoy, learn, and contribute to the food blog community.
THE RULES OF “A Quote About food” CHALLENGE:
– Post 1 quote a day for 3 days (can be your own or from other sources)
– Nominate 3 bloggers to participate per post & thank the person who nominated you (You may choose to notify your nominees to make them aware)
A big thanks once again to Stephy@Stephysweetbakes for giving me the chance on this challenge.
Enjoy the July 4 holiday!
